Be on the lookout for QR codes around the school! 📱
Isanti high school students have been working hard with Mrs Swalley to share what they know, and we’re excited for you to see it. Families can scan the QR codes to watch our videos and learn along with us!

A huge thank you to the amazing UNMC Nurses who organized a book drive for our Little Warriors! 📚❤️

Isanti community school weekly schedule

🔥 It's Fire Safety Week! Let's Protect Our Families! 🔥
This week, our district is proud to participate in Fire Safety Week! The most important lesson we can share is that fire won't wait, so you need to plan your escape. Taking a few minutes to prepare can make all the difference. See the school's website for more information!
A Big Thank You to Our Heroes! 🚒
We want to extend a huge thank you to the dedicated firefighters at the Santee Fire Department. They work tirelessly to protect our students, staff, and community. When you see a firefighter this week, be sure to thank them!
They will be coming to our school October 7 to teach PK-5th grade students about fire Safety.

GOOD LUCK LADIES 💙💛🏐

GOOD LUCK TO OUR ISANTI ATHLETES 💙💛

Mrs. Swalley's social studies classes recognized Hispanic Heritage month. We have been learning about how Spaniards came to North America and conquered Mayans, Incas, and Aztecs, who were Indigenous to this country since 300 AD and they already had advanced civilizations, cities, pyramids, water and sewage systems, far from the savage image portrayed. And this history is very much a part of Hispanic culture. Along with this history we also learned the importance of Hispanic heritage in our society. We celebrated the gifts they have given our society such as music, and the favorite part of all, for the students (all of us!) ,🤗 is the FOOD. Our Native History class enjoyed pozole. It is a traditional ceremonial soup of pre-hispanic origins in Aztec cultures. All students had the chance to enjoy a sweet cake dessert, tres leches, which translates to three milks. Our classes also learned about candy skulls and many different hispanic countries, such as Cuba, Colombia, Puerto Rico and re-created their flags.

Our high school Native History class is earning college credit through NICC’s Food Preservation course! 🍎✨
Today, students learned how to dry apples and try out fun seasonings—including strawberry Jello! They used a Mandalay cutter with protective gloves and each received their very own drying rack, generously provided by NICC.
A special thank you to Diane LaPointe for donating apples from her tree—your gift created a wonderful community connection between education and tradition. Pidamiyaye, Diane! 🙏❤️
